February Athletes of the Month

Congratulations to our February Athletes of the Month, Feodor Yurkov and MacKenzie English!

Junior midfielder, Feodor Yurkov, has anchored the faceoff wing as well as the defensive and offensive midfields. Feo hardly leaves the field and has been, so far, impossible for opponents to get around. He has 2 goals and 2 assists and has caused many turnovers and ground balls. The teams 4-1 record in February is due in large part to the tremendous energy and discipline of Feodor Yurkov.

As a 4-year Wrestler, Mackenzie English has helped build a girls’ program at WHS that was once non-existent.  Her gains over the years at WHS have culminated in some impressive accomplishments and have contributed to the entire Wrestling programs’ success this year.  MacKenzie placed 2nd in her weight class in the Marmonte League Individuals Championships.  She went on to be crowned the CIFSS Central Division Champion and placed 2nd at the CIFSS Masters Meet.  MacKenzie was named the Ventura County Star’s Girls’ Wrestler of the Year.
