January Athletes of the Month

Noa Nakagawa (Senior)

Noa led the team in blocked shots, defensive headers and stopped 1v1’s. His sheer brute strength, athleticism, and smarts helped the Warriors defeat perennial Marmonte League Powerhouses TOHS , Agoura, and Newbury Park along with shutting out a high octane Crescenta Valley offense in post season play.

Layla Simon (Senior)

Layla led the #32 seed in the Div. 1 playoffs to the CIF-SS Semifinals. She scored 3 goals in 4 games and in 2 of the games they were the game winning goals to help the team advance to the next round. She scored the game winner vs. #1 JSerra, had an assist in the 2nd round against the defending CIF champion Roosevelt, and then the game winner against Edison while also scoring an additional goal in that game.
